Definitions:
Pornography: obscene writings, drawings, photographs, or the like, esp. those having little or no artistic merit (This definition is not accepted by everyone. I find artistic merit in Deep Throat. Have you heard the music?)
There are many acronyms and slang terms found in the porn world here are a few. Most porn actress will list what they will perform with these acronyms.
Erotica: There is some overlap between erotica and pornography, the distinction usually lying in the eye of the beholder. Often times erotica refers to erotic literature, even romance novels, but can sometimes be used as a euphemism for more "upscale" or "classy" porn. Some would claim the distinction is that erotica has "artistic merit" rather than pornography which has been defined as "having no artistic merit." If the word sensual is used, it's often in an attempt to fall into the erotica category.
Facial= The male ejaculates on the face of the partner.
Soft-core: Soft-core porn features no explicit penetration; the intercourse is often simulated.
Hard-core: Penetration is explicit. Pornography has become increasingly hardcore (also known as XXX or X-rated)
Interracial: Two people of different ethnicity having sex. For example a black man and a white woman (the most common pairing of this type) or a black woman and an asian man (the least common pairing). Some performers refuse to participate in interracial scenes.
Amatuer: Within the industry this can be a women who has performed in less than five films (more popular stars may list hundreds of credits on sights such as Adult Film Database and IAFD, the porn industry's answer to IMDB). Outside the industry this may be anyone with a video camera and internet access.
Bukkake= Multiple males ejaculate on the face of one participant. The name derives from an urban legend where the samurai were thought to ejaculate on the face of a defeated enemy to humiliate them, perhaps explaining the existence of seppuku in Japanese culture.
Gonzo= Movies in which the director/camera man is part of the scene. (This is becoming the most popular type of style. It typically just sex with no story or plot)
The Money Shot= The term is used similarly to how it is used in mainstream films, but due to its coincidence with male ejaculation has become synonymous with the term "cum shot."
ATM= Ass to mouth or anal sex followed directly by oral sex.
G/G= Girl with girl
B/G= Boy with girl
